What is an aesthetic dental filling?
It is the elimination of minor defects in the tooth crown by a process of filling or restoring the tooth with an aesthetic filling material that is similar to the structure of the tooth tissue in terms of its aesthetic (colour, gloss, translucency) and functional (hardness, wear, flexibility) characteristics.
The aim of an aesthetic filling procedure is to restore the lost anatomical shape of the tooth or to create a new one. Lost dental tissues are restored during the procedure to obtain the appearance of a natural tooth.
Why is aesthetic teeth filling required?
Aesthetic teeth fillings are the perfect solution for the correction of small old and darkened fillings, to treat small to medium caries in the teeth, or to restore the crumbled edges of a tooth.
Aesthetic teeth fillings are not suitable for the larger damage of a tooth crown, when the complete covering of a tooth surface is required, or in cases when a correction of the tooth position is required, for the restoration of a worn tooth, or for closing the spaces between teeth.
In such cases, we will restore the teeth using CEREC full ceramic restorations – laminates, or partial and complete crowns.

How can we help?
Patients often come to our clinic after an unsuccessful aesthetic teeth filling.
The most common complaint is that the aesthetic appearance was good just after the procedure, but became unacceptable after a few years. In these cases, the shape of the tooth has changed, darkening of the margins of the filling has occurred, or a filling has chipped.
Aesthetic tooth filling procedure carried out in our clinic will help you to maintain healthy and beautiful teeth.
Process of aesthetic tooth filling
The dental tissues affected by caries and the remains of old fillings are removed.
If tooth decay is absent, the dental tissues do not need to undergo further preparations and only the surface is roughened by sandblasting. This procedure is absolutely painless and can be carried out without any anaesthesia.
The dental surface is then dried and filling or tooth bonding material is applied.
Layers of the filling material are applied and are hardened by ultraviolet light.
Final corrections of the shape and polishing is performed.

“Excellent experience. To begging with – fantastic administration that writes timely and informative e-mails. Doctor Ieva Day-Stirrat proved to be a highly skilled specialist and I felt truly comfortable allowing her to make decisions for me regarding my treatment.
“I am very satisfied with their services. The staff are very accommodating and helpful, most especially Dr. Ieva who did my two implants, a very successful operation. Now I can eat properly. Recommended supremely.”
“My father went and had 2 crowns, a root canal & a filling and is happy with it. I am writing to compliment the receptionist – Vaida in her help in booking in multiple appointments, clarifying what work was done, as my father didn’t have a clue, and helping with paying with the Travelex card. Very happy with the communication from Vaida, and I even had the dentist call me over Skype to clarify the work my father had done. Very happy with this company.”
